Jaguar operators conference held at Jamnagar


A two day Jaguar Operators Conference was inaugurated by Air Vice Marshal Sukhchain Singh, VSM Senior Maintenance Staff Officer (SMSO) HQ SWAC IAF on the 03 Feb 11 at Air Force Station Jamnagar.The conference aims to address various maintenance and operational issues pertaining to Front Line Deep Land and Maritime Strike Jaguar aircraft operations. The conference is an annual summit for representatives from Jaguar aircraft Operators and Defence Industry like RDAQA, HAL, BEL and BDL.

This conference will bring forth the total spectrum of issues pertaining to Jaguar class of fighter aircraft. Numerous papers, case studies, upgrades are being discussed in special interactive sessions. The conference aims to tap the strong Defence Industry’s potential to assist and sustain operations for the next decade. The participating enterprises shall come face to face with the Jaguar aircraft Operators from various IAF bases, Command HQ and the Air HQ and would endeavor to showcase best in class innovation, upgrades and present the dynamic and creative industrial approach and potential. An exhibition of numerous innovations carried out at field level is being displayed, which envisages showing IAF’s indigenization capabilities and offers networking and interactive space among visiting participants.

Inaugural address was delivered by Air Vice Marshal S Singh, VSM and the welcome address was by Air Cmde R Nambiar VM & BAR, Air Officer Commanding AF Stn Jamnagar. Vote of thanks and closing address on 4th Feb 11 will be delivered by the Chief Engineering Officer (CEO) of Jamnagar air base, Gp Capt Eshwar Subramaniam who is mainly responsible for the planning and co-ordinating this conference. All in all, the Jaguar Operators Conference, first of its kind being organized at AF Stn Jamnagar, aims to be an engaging and enlightening experience for IAF Operators and the Indian Defence Industry.
